The afternoon session will be dedicated to pest control and disease forecasting in oilseed and pulse crops, with presentations from PGRO, Rothamsted Research and ADAS. They are essential to attend for any malting barley grower after the challenging market conditions seen in 2009, and the likelihood of continued price volatility next season as well as the reform of the intervention system. Nitrogen for winter wheat - management guidelines While other documents deal with all nutrients for all crops, these HGCA guidelines provide more detail on N - the most important nutrient - on the most extensive UK crop, wheat. The aim is to give UK wheat growers comprehensive guidance on using N, whether as fertiliser or organic manure.
