HGCA-funded student wins award

Libby Pirie has been awarded the British Crop Production Council (BCPC) prize for the best poster by a postgraduate at the BCPC Crop Science and Technology Congress at Glasgow. Judges based their assessment on the quality of the poster and the ability of the student to explain the significance of the research.

Libby is working at Rothamsted Research on resistance to canker and light leaf spot in oilseed rape. She is registered at Imperial College, and funded through a BBSRC CASE studentship, with HGCA and the breeding company CPB Twyford as industrial sponsors.
