Crop Evaluation Ltd is a separate company wholly owned by HGCA.
Its mission is to identify and recommend the appropriate cereal and oilseed-rape varieties for the different market sectors of the industry in a timely and cost-effective manner, and to ensure that these recommendations are publicised.
It seeks the involvement of all significant sectors of the industry in achieving this mission but will make its recommendations in the interests of the industry as a whole.
It is run by a Board of Directors and the work for each crop group is managed by a series of Crop Committees who are responsible for selecting which varieties to sow in HGCA Recommended List trials and make recommendations to the Board about which varieties should be Listed.
