The centre for Value Chain Research (VCR2)
The centre for Value Chain Research (VCR2) at Kent Business School (KBS) can help farmers and processors improve the sustainability of their business by developing a better understanding of marketing and food purchasing behaviour, through consumer insight VCR2 has access to household purchasing data from a panel of 1.3 million shoppers - the most detailed shopper database in the world.
A faculty of the University of Kent located in Canterbury, Kent Business School is the founding partner of the Centre for Value Chain Research. PhD students at Kent Business School are sponsored by organisations representative of different commodity sectors, including HGCA, and regions.
HGCA Enterprise Awards is a grant scheme which supports innovation with grain by providing funding of up to £50,000 on a match-funded basis. Funding can be used to support the final stages of product development and marketing activities.
