Sampling and testing

When sampling at harvest, in store or during outloading, grain variability must be understood so that representative samples are taken. Best practice for grain testing must also be used by laboratories to ensure consistency and quality control.

		Grain Sampling Guidlines  (2009) HGCA has issued new grain sampling guidelines for 2009. These are intended to provide guidance when taking samples to test for both grain quality and mycotoxins. They are part of an industry initiative to minimise the differences found when testing (especially for mycotoxins).
