In the Value Chain Analyses (VCAs) conducted by Cranfield and Cardiff Business Schools for the Cereals Industry Forum (CIF), better communication and collaboration emerged as an issue on every occasion. Regular communication between different people in the supply chain can help to solve issues, increase efficiency and add value for all concerned.
Furthermore, it wasn't just in the VCAs that the need for better communication was highlighted; both the Probes and Masterclasses showed the benefits of better internal communications and one Masterclass provided a striking example of how supply chain collaboration can work to everyone's benefit.
As an organisation at the centre of the cereals industry HGCA can act as a facilitator for cross-industry communication and collaboration. You can find out more about HGCA events and initiatives here.
Our case studies page includes details of CIF initiatives from which this theme clearly emerged, as well as information on how companies are making better communication and collaboration work for them. For other sources of inspiration why not view some of our video clips and audio programmes on those who are getting it right in this area. Alternatively why not get more information by emailing one of our resident experts or take part in an online seminar on the subject. |
