Belgravia was added to the HGCA Recommended List 2008 as a potential malting variety for the distilling market.

It is provisionally approved by the IBD for the production of malt for distilling.

It has yields similar to Appaloosa with better resistance to Rhynchosporium .

It has good resistance to mildew and Rhynchosporium but is somewhat susceptible to brown rust.
