Management options chosen by growers impact not only on the crop but on the surrounding environment, wildlife and landscape. HGCA is committed to helping farmers comply with legislation, benefit from environmental stewardship opportunities and play a vital part in minimising impacts on the Environment. Small management changes have the potential to minimise pollution, improve water quality, reduce chemical inputs and increase biodiversity.
See precision farming in practice
HGCA is holding a series of farm visits throughout the summer months to demonstrate how precision farming techniques are being used in practice. The visits are part of the year-long 'Be PRECISE' initiative providing information to growers about the benefits of precision farming.
