RD-2004-3035 Integrated management of herbicide resistance (SA 258) (LK 0965).
The overall aim is to develop more sustainable and appropriate resistance management strategies for individual fields.
RD-2006-3336 Dormancy in grass weeds
The project aims to provide annual information on black-grass and other grass weed dormancy to the industry, Identify the relationship between black-grass dormancy and emergence, and provide more cost effective prediction of effective herbicide strategies.
RD-2006-3341 New strategies to autumn grass weed control in cereals and oilseed rape
To develop strategies for the use of remaining selective herbicides to maintain effective control of black-grass and sterile brome without increasing dependence on products for which concerns over resistance or detection in water already exist.

See precision farming in practice
HGCA is holding a series of farm visits throughout the summer months to demonstrate how precision farming techniques are being used in practice. The visits are part of the year-long 'Be PRECISE' initiative providing information to growers about the benefits of precision farming.
