RD-2004-3098 Novel Resources for Oilseed Rape Breeding Improving Harvest Index
To address the problem of poor Harvest Index by using novel populations (new combinations of oilseed rape cultivars) and an exotic population (TN; derived from a wide cross between a typical European and a typical Chinese variety) to develop a better understanding of the genetic control of canopy architecture traits that are components of harvest index.
RD-2003-2922 Impact of previous cropping on winter oilseed rape yields
To test the hypothesis that growing oilseed rape constrains yields of future oilseed rape crops grown in the same field.
RD-2007-3388 The impact of previous cropping on OSR yields - sampling and trials establishment
The project aims to examine the effect of previous crop rotation on the growth and yield of oilseed rape.
