Export Restrictions Eased on Ukranian Feedgrain

According to Reuters the Ukranian government has lifted restrictions on feedgrain exports following the threat of mass protests by producers.  Exact details are unclear but exports of feedgrain are expected to resume in the coming weeks with restrictions remaining on "food grains".

According to current government estimates, the Ukraine have 2.5Mt of grain to export from the 2007/08 season with only 1.4Mt shipped so far.

The unexpected news had a negative impact on both Chicago and European markets.
