  • Solstice is a nabim group 1 variety widely used by millers.

  • Solstice is very popular with growers, taking around 12% of 2007 certified seed production weights.

  • nabim report that this is one of the most widely planted milling varieties and is much used by millers.  Originally placed in Group 2, it has continued to perform well.

  •  Classified as ukp export bread wheat and has support from end users.

  • Yield potential is 7% above Malacca and although it is 3% lower yielding than Xi19 it is stiffer strawed and tends to give higher proteins.

  • Good specific weight.

  • Stiff straw.

  • Good resistance to yellow rust but is susceptible to mildew, brown rust and eyespot.
