Deben is a nabim Group 3 variety.

nabim reports that the dough has been found to be less extensible than that produced by Consort or Claire. It is not preferred by all millers and, as such, should be stored separately.

Not approved for inclusion in the uks export brand and is not liked by the distilling industry.

Weak-strawed so more suited to later sowing and lighter soils.

It has good resistance to yellow rust and eyespot.
