Variety notes - Spring and late autumn wheat

  • Morph is recommended only for autumn sowing.

  • In late autumn sown trials, yields have been 6% lower yielding than Einstein.

  • Hagberg Falling Number has been lower than most of the other Group 2 varieties in late autumn trials.

  • In spring sown trials it is 10% lower yielding than Tybalt with lower Hagberg Falling Number and low specific weight.

  • It is stiff and has good disease resistance except for susceptibility to Septoria tritici .

  • It is no longer grown in trials.
