Belvoir is a nabim Group 4 feed wheat.
-
From late autumn sowings it has given yields as high as the best winter wheat feed varieties - competitive with Glasgow and Ambrosia.
-
Its yield advantage is less marked from spring sowings, out-yielding Tybalt by 2% but with a better specific weight.
-
It has good resistance to yellow rust and above average resistance to brown rust.
-
Little lodging has been recorded in trials treated with PGR.
