The European Commission has released details of revised grain import duties for rye, sorghum and maize. The import duty for rye has been reduced to EUR42.9/t from the previous EUR45.92/t. For sorghum the import duty has increased to EUR47.89/t, from EUR45.92/t. The import duty for maize has also increased from the previous EUR12.22/t, to EUR17.34/t.
The import duties for wheat and barley remain unchanged from those set in 2003. Durum and high quality wheat has a zero import duty. Non-quota medium and low-quality wheat have an import duty of EUR95/t; non-quota barley has a duty of EUR93/t.
