Funded by a statutory levy raised on growers, dealers and processors of cereals and oilseeds, HGCA receives an income of approximately £10 million each year.
Levies are raised by AHDB on the following cereal and oilseed crops grown in the UK: wheat, barley, oats, rye, maize, tricticale, mixed corn, rapeseed, linseed, sunflower seed and soyabean.
HGCA carries out research and development, market information, supply chain activities and consumer marketing programmes for the benefit of the cereals and oilseeds sector.
