HGCA Recommended List candidate varieties

The tables below list varieties in RL trials in 2009 that are to be considered for recommendation in the autumn.

East & West region

North region 


Varieties grown in trials in 2008 but not added to the HGCA Recommended Lists

Eleven varieties were grown in HGCA winter oilseed rape trials in the East and West region in 2008 but were not included in the Recommended List.

  • PR44W22, Piranha, NK-Technic, Cuillin, Pelican, Mallory, Emerson, Epure, Galileo, NK-Caravel, ES-Alienor

Twelve varieties were grown in HGCA winter oilseed rape trials in the North region in 2008 but were not included in the Recommended List.

High erucic acid variety

Palmedor is a high erucic acid variety which was tested in RL trials during 2007. Data on the variety can be found here:
