  • Glasgow is a high-yielding soft-milling Group 4 feed variety.

  • Was rated good for distilling but under-performed in 2007 in Scotland so is now rated as "good" for England and "moderate" for Scotland.

  • Resistant to orange wheat blossom midge.

  •  Classified as uks soft wheat: Meets the export brand.

  • Low Hagberg falling number.

  • Moderate straw strength.

  • Has given good yields in a range of soil types and sowing dates including as a second cereal.

  • Relatively very high yielding when late sown.

  • It is susceptible to yellow rust and Septoria nodorum and is rather susceptible to brown rust.

  • Susceptible to sprouting in the ear during a wet harvest.
