HGCA has an extensive range of free educational resources exploring the grain chain from field to plate. These resources are full of fun games and activities, which have been especially developed for children from primary through to secondary school (key stage 1-4). We also support university students through undergraduate bursaries and PhD studentships.

What's happening now?

The Growing Year

Now we are coming into spring, the seeds are now starting to grow more quickly. The plants may be treated with fertilisers to help them grow well. The farmer may spray them again to control the weeds and pests. As they grow the wheat plant produces many shoots. To learn more about growing, click on the following link here
