The specific application of fungicides for brown rust control in the UK is unusual. Most of the triazole fungicides applied for the control of other diseases, have good activity against brown rust. Because attacks tend to occur late in the season, many crops will have already received a fungicide for the control of other diseases which will suppress brown rust development.
