Petal tests

Recent research has shown that testing individual petals for sclerotinia on agar medium can improve decisions to apply a fungicide spray for sclerotinia control. However, the agar test takes about 10 days to complete and a more rapid test is desirable. At present, a test which can identify sclerotinia spores on petals is being developed, but it is not suitable for field use.
