nabim, supported by HGCA, is encouraging wheat growers to enter the 2014 Milling Wheat Challenge to find the country’s best milling wheat grower. The winner will need to demonstrate that they are forward thinking and can consistently grow quality crops of bread-making wheats. The competition has become established as a recognition by Britain’s flour millers of how the country’s best growers combine attention to detail with end-customer awareness and financial acumen to create a win: win for the whole wheat chain. When making your entry please answer the questions in each of the five specified areas. Aim to give as full an answer as possible because this information will be used by the judges to select the finalists. You will need to demonstrate that you use a methodical approach to growing milling wheat, that you understand your market and that you tailor your inputs to consistently produce high quality milling wheat.
