HGCA has introduced the ‘Best Breakfast Awards’ to find the establishment that serves the country’s best breakfast.
The award winners will be revealed as part of Farmhouse Breakfast Week, HGCA’s flagship consumer campaign, which runs from 26 January- 1 February 2014. TV chef and breakfast lover Dean Edwards is fronting the campaign, which highlights the importance of eating breakfast as part of a healthy diet.
Nominations of cafes, restaurants, hotels and pubs that serve a great breakfast are open now at shakeupyourwakeup.com. All nominated establishments are in with a chance of winning, which will be decided by public vote. There will be a national best breakfast winner and a number of regional winners.
HGCA Marketing Executive Karen Levy said: “The Best Breakfast Awards are a great way for everyone to get involved with the campaign. During Farmhouse Breakfast Week, the ‘breakfast squad’ will be travelling across the nation to present regional winners with their prize, so watch out for HGCA coming to a town near you.”
Up-to-date fungicide performance information for controlling light leaf spot is now available from HCGA. Results from 2012/13 and recent years show that, although tricky to control, fungicide treatments can prevent significant losses from the disease.
