Agronomy 2015: solutions for local challenges
HGCA has announced plans for a series of regional technical seminars this winter to help growers and agronomists drive arable businesses forward.
Based on the latest research findings, the Agronomy 2015 events – taking place across England and Scotland – will provide agronomic solutions for local challenges.
Mr Richard Laverick, HGCA Head of Regional Development, said: “Our Regional Managers are working with growers to understand key issues limiting productivity and exploiting local knowledge to better target information arising from HGCA’s extensive programme of research.
“The Agronomy 2015 events will provide an excellent opportunity to discuss the latest developments in agronomy with experts at the cutting-edge of applied research.
“HGCA Regional Managers will chair the events and facilitate technical debates enabling growers to share experience and access recent research relevant to their business.”
Agronomy 2015 will include:
- The latest fungicide performance data
- Getting the most from Recommended Lists disease ratings
- Using pest thresholds to get spray timings right
- Guidance on cropping and marketing decisions
The events will also include a range of bespoke papers designed to meet region-specific pressures.
