Some varieties approved for the 2014/15 Recommended List may be available from 2014 harvest.

The results of the 2013 Chopin Alveograph and Wet Gluten Harvest Survey can be found here

Varieties may be listed as [B] for blending if their characteristics suggest that they could contribute to an export cargo but would be unsuitable for export on their own for example because the variety has been found in commercial experience only to be suitable for inclusion in small quantities to export cargoes.

Varieties on the Historic List are those which are no longer included on the Recommended List, but retain their ukp or uks branding as they may still be suitable for export. Varieties remain on this list until such time that their certified seed area falls below 0.5% and they have not been presented for export in the previous season. This decision is made well in advance of the marketing year for which it affects e.g. the decision to remove varieties from the historic list affecting the 2015/16 campaign was made and communicated in November 2013.
