Focus on: feed

Over half of UK grain enters the animal feed chain, HGCA has recently led a £1.5 million investment which aims to benefit growers and feed processors by examining the effects of feed quality on animal performance and developing quicker tests for nutritional quality. It is anticipated that the outcomes will enable targeted use of nabim Group 4 wheat varieties, as well as cut down on waste for the benefit of the whole supply.
